iLoveDigital Social terms

Last updated: 29 October 2026

1. Who we are

These terms govern the use of iLoveDigital Social (social.ilovedigital.eu), a platform for scheduling and publishing content on social networks. The platform is provided by iLoveDigital Unipessoal Lda. (Portuguese company number (NIPC) 514 344 342, Rua Infanta D. Maria, Lote 30A 1.º Esq., 3030-330 Coimbra), “ILOVEDIGITAL”. This is an administrative and mailing address; we do not receive visitors there. Contact: [email protected].

The “User” is whoever creates an account. If you create the account for a company, you accept these terms on its behalf and confirm that you are authorised to do so.

2. Who it is for

iLoveDigital Social is for businesses, professionals and content creators who use it in their professional activity. It is not for consumers, meaning people who want to use it for personal purposes.

By creating an account, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years old;
  • you use the platform for the purposes of your trade, business or profession;
  • the details you give when you sign up are true.

3. The service

iLoveDigital Social is a platform you use yourself. With it you can:

  • connect social media accounts through each network’s official authorisation screen (on Bluesky, with an app password you create in Bluesky’s settings);
  • write posts, attach images or videos, see a preview and choose the date and time;
  • publish to the connected accounts at the scheduled time;
  • see the status of each post (scheduled, published or failed) and the link to the post on the network;
  • see statistics for the connected accounts, on the networks that provide them (on TikTok: followers, likes and views of recent videos).

The User decides what is published, where and when. ILOVEDIGITAL does not write, choose or approve the content, and does not publish anything on its own initiative.

It does not include: content creation, replying to comments or private messages, paid advertising, or account management by ILOVEDIGITAL.

Each network becomes available only after it approves ILOVEDIGITAL’s connection. The current list is on the product page. A network can change its rules, limit or withdraw its approval, and in that case ILOVEDIGITAL may have to disconnect that network.

The platform runs a modified version of Postiz, open-source software licensed under the GNU AGPL-3.0. The complete source code of the version we run, including our modifications, is available at social.ilovedigital.eu/_ild/codigo-fonte/ and is also linked from within the platform.

4. Account and security

  • You sign up with an email address and a password, and confirm the email through the link we send you.
  • Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what is done with your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, tell us straight away.
  • If you invite other people to your organisation on the platform, you are responsible for how they use it.

5. Price

  • During the launch, iLoveDigital Social is free. We do not ask for a card or any payment details.
  • Paid plans will come later. Before that, we will email you at least 30 days in advance and publish the prices. You pay only if you choose a paid plan and accept its conditions.
  • Once paid plans exist, free use may have limits on channels, posts and storage. If you go over those limits, you can choose a paid plan or reduce your use.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the platform to:

  • publish illegal content, including content that infringes third parties’ copyright, trade marks, image or privacy, defamatory content, content that incites hatred or violence, or content that exploits minors;
  • publish content that is not yours and that you have no licence to use, including copying content in bulk from other accounts or platforms;
  • send spam, repeat the same post in bulk or run fake accounts;
  • connect accounts that are not yours or that you are not authorised to manage;
  • run misleading advertising or commercial communications that are not identified as such;
  • get around the limits, rules or security mechanisms of the social networks or of the platform;
  • try to access other users’ data, test for vulnerabilities without permission or overload the service.

You must also comply with the terms and policies of each network you publish to. On TikTok, this includes disclosing commercial content in the posting screen and accepting TikTok’s Branded Content Policy and Music Usage Confirmation when the platform shows them. If you use content generated or altered by artificial intelligence, label it whenever the law or the network’s rules require it.

The User warrants that:

  • it owns, or is authorised to manage, the accounts it connects;
  • the content it publishes is its own or licensed, and does not infringe third-party rights;
  • the content complies with the law, including advertising and commercial communications rules.

7. Your content

Your content is yours. You give ILOVEDIGITAL only the permission it needs to store the content, adapt its technical format when a network requires it, and send it to the networks you choose, for as long as that is needed to provide the service.

ILOVEDIGITAL does not add any brand, logo, watermark or promotional text to your content. It does not use your content for other purposes, for advertising or to train artificial intelligence models.

8. Notices, moderation and points of contact (Digital Services Act)

8.1 Points of contact

The single point of contact for Member State authorities, the European Commission and users is [email protected]. You can write in Portuguese or English. People answer; we do not rely only on automated tools.

8.2 How to report illegal content

Anyone can report content stored on the platform that they consider illegal. Email [email protected] with the subject “Content notice” and include:

  1. an explanation of why you consider the content illegal;
  2. its exact location (the link to the post or preview, or other details that let us find it);
  3. your name and email address, unless the notice concerns child sexual abuse;
  4. a statement that you believe, in good faith, that the information and allegations in the notice are accurate and complete.

We confirm receipt by email, handle the notice in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary and objective manner, and tell you our decision and the available means of redress. People take the decisions; we do not use automated means.

8.3 Moderation

ILOVEDIGITAL does not review posts before they go out. When it becomes aware of content that is illegal or breaches these terms, through a notice, an order from an authority or otherwise, it may block a scheduled post, delete files, disconnect a channel, or suspend or close the account. Whatever is already published on a network is controlled by that network: report it there too.

8.4 Statement of reasons and appeals

If we restrict your content or your account, we email you what we decided, the facts we relied on, the legal ground or the clause of these terms, the fact that we did not use automated means, and how you can contest it. You can contest the decision by replying to that email; another member of the team reviews it. You can also go to court.

8.5 Serious crimes

If we become aware of information that gives rise to a suspicion of a crime threatening the life or safety of people, we inform the competent authorities straight away.

9. Availability and changes to the service

During the launch, the platform is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability. There may be interruptions for maintenance or security updates. We may change or remove features; if a change has a significant effect on how you use the platform, we tell you beforehand.

10. Support

Support is provided by people, by email, at [email protected]. There is no phone support. Only people on the ILOVEDIGITAL team access your account data, and only when needed to answer a request from you, to keep the service secure or to comply with the law.

11. Term, closure and suspension

  • There is no minimum term. You can close your account whenever you want, in the platform itself or by email.
  • ILOVEDIGITAL can end the service or close your account with 30 days’ notice by email.
  • ILOVEDIGITAL can suspend or close the account immediately in case of a serious breach of these terms, for example illegal content, spam, abuse, a risk to the platform’s security, or use that puts the platform’s connection to the networks at risk for other users. In that case we explain the decision as set out in 8.4.

12. Exporting your data and switching provider

You can ask by email for an export of your account data: posts (text, dates, networks and status), connected channels (name and ID, without the access tokens) and the image and video files we still hold. We deliver it in a structured, commonly used format, free of charge, within 30 days of the request.

If you ask for the export when you close your account, we keep the data for at least 30 days after delivery so you can download it; then we delete it. We do not export access tokens to the networks or internal security logs.

13. Data we keep and for how long

  • We delete images and videos from our servers 30 days after the post goes out or is cancelled. The post stays on the network; the platform keeps the text and the post details.
  • When you close your account, we delete the user, the organisation, the network connections and access tokens, the posts and the files within 30 days, subject to section 12.
  • We keep backups for 30 days.
  • There may be limits on storage and on file size.

14. Liability

  • ILOVEDIGITAL does not guarantee reach, followers, engagement or sales.
  • ILOVEDIGITAL is not liable for failures, rule changes, account suspensions or unavailability of the social networks.
  • While you use the platform without paying, ILOVEDIGITAL is liable only for damage caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence. On a paid plan, ILOVEDIGITAL’s liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
  • These limits do not apply to damage to people’s life, physical or moral integrity or health, or where the law does not allow liability to be limited.
  • The User is liable to ILOVEDIGITAL for any damage it causes by breaching these terms, including third-party claims about the content it published.

15. Data protection

For your account data, ILOVEDIGITAL is the controller. For the content you publish and the data of the accounts you connect, the User is the controller and ILOVEDIGITAL acts as processor, under the Data processing agreement below, which forms part of these terms. The Privacy policy describes all processing, and the Data deletion page explains how to ask for deletion.

16. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a significant way, we tell you by email and in the platform at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can close your account before the change takes effect.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

Portuguese law applies. The courts of the district of Coimbra have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Annex: Data processing agreement (Article 28 GDPR)

This agreement forms part of the iLoveDigital Social terms between the User (“Controller”) and iLoveDigital Unipessoal Lda. (“Processor”).

1. Subject matter, nature, purpose and duration

The Processor stores, organises and transmits personal data on the Controller’s behalf, only to schedule and publish the content the Controller chooses on the social media accounts it connects to the platform, and to show it the status and statistics of those posts and accounts. Processing lasts as long as the account exists, plus the deletion periods in clause 9.

2. Data and data subjects

  • Data: content the Controller uploads (text, images, videos), which may include people’s image, voice or name; IDs, public names and profile pictures of the connected accounts; access tokens for those accounts; post status; statistics of the connected accounts.
  • Data subjects: people who appear in the Controller’s content; holders of the connected accounts; the Controller’s staff who use the platform.
  • The parties do not foresee special categories of data (Article 9). The Controller does not upload such data without prior written agreement.

3. Instructions

The Processor processes the data only on the Controller’s documented instructions: these terms and the actions the Controller takes in the platform (connecting an account, creating, scheduling, publishing or deleting a post). Publishing to a network is an instruction to transmit that content to that network. If an instruction seems to breach the GDPR, the Processor informs the Controller at once.

The Processor does not use the data for its own purposes, for advertising or to train artificial intelligence models, and does not sell it.

4. Confidentiality

The people authorised to process the data are bound by confidentiality.

5. Security

The Processor applies appropriate technical and organisational measures, including: servers in the European Union (Hetzner); administrative access by SSH key only, with no password and no direct root access; encrypted communications (HTTPS); network access tokens kept only on the server and never shared; protection against automated sign-ups; web server access logs; backups on a backup server in the European Union, transferred over an encrypted channel and kept for 30 days.

6. Sub-processors

The Controller authorises the following sub-processors:

  • Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany): hosting of the servers and backups, in the European Union.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): security, bot protection on sign-up (Turnstile) and delivery.
  • Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (Luxembourg): sending the platform’s emails, from the European Union region.

The Processor notifies the Controller by email 30 days in advance of any new sub-processor; the Controller can object and, in that case, close the account at no cost. The Processor imposes the same data protection obligations on its sub-processors.

The social networks where the content is published (Meta, Google/YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Bluesky) are not sub-processors: they are independent controllers, chosen by the Controller, which accepts each network’s terms.

7. Assistance

The Processor helps the Controller respond to data subject requests and meet the obligations of Articles 32 to 36, as far as it can.

8. Personal data breaches

The Processor notifies the Controller of any personal data breach without undue delay and no later than 48 hours after becoming aware of it, with the information available.

9. Retention and end of processing

  • The Processor deletes images and videos 30 days after the post goes out or is cancelled.
  • When the Controller deletes a channel, the Processor deletes its access token and profile data within 30 days.
  • When the account is closed, the Processor deletes the personal data and access tokens within 30 days, unless the law requires retention. At the Controller’s request, it first exports the data it still holds, as set out in section 12 of the terms.
  • The Processor deletes backups after 30 days.

10. Audits

The Processor makes available to the Controller the information needed to demonstrate compliance with this agreement and allows reasonable audits, with 30 days’ prior notice and at the Controller’s expense.

11. International transfers

The Processor does not transfer data outside the European Economic Area, except for transfers Cloudflare may make under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Publishing to a network established outside the EEA, such as Bluesky, happens on the Controller’s instructions and follows that network’s rules.

A Portuguese version of these terms is available at /pt/termos/.

Shared organisations

Deleting your user account does not delete the data of an organisation that still has other active members. To close a shared organisation or request deletion of its data, write to [email protected] on behalf of the organisation.
