Before requesting a diagnosis

WordPress not sending email, or messages not arriving?

  1. Identify the failing message: form, order or password reset. In WooCommerce, check that the notification is enabled and the order reaches the status that triggers it.
  2. If payment was received but the order remains pending, compare the payment provider status with WooCommerce. The failure may be in payment confirmation, before an email is generated.
  3. Record the time and SMTP response. If there was no sending attempt, investigate message generation; if it was rejected, keep the error code. Server acceptance does not prove inbox delivery.
  4. Check published SPF and DMARC records. The tool does not validate DKIM, alignment or delivery. Include the message type and error in your diagnosis request, with customer email addresses, passwords and access keys removed.
